Daily Devotional
Day 2 of 50 – Fear Is Broken
Scripture (NKJV):
1 Corinthians 15:55
“O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”
Devotional Thought:
Fear has a way of gripping the heart—especially the fear of the unknown, the future, and even death itself. But this powerful declaration from Scripture is not just poetic—it is victorious. Through Jesus Christ, death has been defeated, and its sting has been removed.
The “sting” of death is sin, and the power behind sin is what once separated us from God. But when Jesus went to the cross and rose again, He didn’t just conquer death—He stripped it of its authority over your life. What once held fear over humanity has now been rendered powerless.
That means you are no longer bound by fear. Fear of failure, fear of loss, fear of what lies ahead—none of it has dominion over you anymore. Jesus has already secured your victory. You are not fighting for victory—you are living from it.
Today, let this truth settle deep in your spirit: fear has been broken. You can walk boldly, live freely, and trust completely because Jesus has already gone before you and won.
Encouragement:
Whatever fear has been whispering to you—about your future, your health, your family, or your purpose—remind it that it no longer has power. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead now lives in you. You are not a prisoner to fear—you are a child of victory.
Stand firm today. Speak life. Walk in confidence. Fear is broken.
Journal Prompt:
What fears have been trying to take hold of your thoughts or decisions recently?
How does knowing that Jesus has removed the “sting” of death change the way you face those fears today?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the victory You have given me through Jesus Christ. Thank You that death has lost its sting and fear has lost its grip on my life. Today, I choose to walk in boldness and faith, not in fear. Remind my heart daily that I am secure in You and that nothing has power over me that You have not already overcome. Strengthen me to stand firm in Your truth and live in the freedom You have provided.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
