Scripture: Joshua 1:9; Psalm 118:24
As we approach the final days of this week’s fast, God calls us to walk boldly in the provision He has promised. Often, breakthrough is preceded by thanksgiving and faith-filled action. Joshua 1:9 encourages us, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” God’s provision is not passive—it requires bold, obedient steps fueled by trust in Him.
Walking boldly means moving forward with confidence, even when we cannot see the entire path. It means stepping into opportunities for ministry, financial provision, or partnerships with the expectation that God will honor His Word. Psalm 118:24 reminds us, “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Boldness is fueled by gratitude—rejoicing in God’s faithfulness even before the full breakthrough manifests.
Fasting prepares our hearts for this boldness. As we surrender physical comforts and worldly distractions, God strengthens our spiritual courage. Each pang of hunger or moment of sacrifice becomes a reminder that He is our source, and nothing is impossible when we rely on His provision.
Walking boldly also demonstrates faith to others. As the church steps forward united in vision and obedience, our trust in God’s provision becomes a testimony. Leaders, volunteers, and members see the impact of faith in action, encouraging the entire body to participate fully in God’s plan.
Today, thanksgiving and boldness go hand in hand. Praise God for the provision already evident—opportunities, relationships, wisdom, and guidance. Step confidently into the tasks He is calling you to do, knowing that He equips and provides for every step. Gratitude creates faith; faith creates boldness; boldness positions us for breakthrough.
